I am excited and honored to serve as the Interim Head of School at Renner Academy. With 30 years of experience in public education, I am deeply passionate about supporting students—especially those with learning differences—as they discover their strengths and build confidence in themselves. Throughout my career, I have been committed to creating an environment where students not only succeed academically but also feel empowered to embrace their unique talents and potential.
I spent 22 years as a classroom teacher, which gave me invaluable insight into the importance of personalized education and the power of building strong, meaningful connections with students. Following that, I served as a campus administrator for 5 years, supporting both teachers and students to ensure that our school was a place where everyone could thrive. My career then took me to a district administrator role for 3 years, where I served as Communications Director and Special Projects Director, driving positive change and fostering collaboration across the district.
After retiring from public education, I joined Renner Academy in December of 2022. I was drawn to the school’s mission of helping students with learning differences. At Renner, we foster a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to grow as thinkers and leaders. I am truly excited to be part of a community that believes in every child’s potential.
As I continue in this role, I am dedicated to working alongside our incredible team to provide an educational experience where every student feels valued and supported, and where they are inspired to believe in their own future as leaders in their communities.
