Dress Code

Renner Academy Student Dress Code 

We ask all students to dress in a manner that supports a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment. The following guidelines are intended to provide clear expectations for appropriate school attire.

Students May:

• Wear clothing and accessories, including baseball caps, that are appropriate for a school setting.
• Wear tops that fully cover the midriff.
• Wear shorts, pants, skirts, and dresses that provide appropriate coverage.
• Wear shoes that are safe and suitable for school activities.

Students May Not:

• Wear clothing that exposes areas typically covered by a swimsuit or allows those areas to be visible through or outside of clothing.
• Wear clothing that exposes undergarments.
• Wear clothing or accessories, including baseball caps, displaying offensive language, images, or messages, including those promoting alcohol, drugs, violence, discrimination, or other inappropriate content.
• Wear clothing or accessories that substantially disrupt or distract from the learning environment, as determined by school staff.
• Wear house shoes or slippers.

School staff may provide reminders and guidance to help students make appropriate clothing choices and minimize classroom distractions. If a dress code concern cannot be resolved during the school day, the Head of School will address the matter with the student. When a parent or guardian is unable to provide a change of clothing, the school may provide the student with a change of clothes to wear for the remainder of the day.
