History

Recognizing the need for a specialized learning environment for students with dyslexia and other learning differences, Kristen Renner founded a school dedicated to helping every child reach their full potential. What began as Happy Camper School in Fall 2020, serving students in kindergarten through 4th grade, has grown into Renner Academy, now serving students across K–12.

From its earliest days, Renner Academy has been committed to providing an educational experience tailored to the unique needs of each learner. By combining individualized instruction, evidence-based practices, and a nurturing environment, the school helps students develop the academic skills, confidence, and self-advocacy tools needed for lifelong success. Small class sizes and strong relationships between students, teachers, and families create a supportive community where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to grow.

Today, Renner Academy continues to expand its impact while remaining focused on its mission of empowering students with learning differences. Our students are challenged to think critically, embrace their strengths, and discover what is possible when they are given the right support and opportunities to succeed.
